@Sedula-53,000 people heard Dark Star. Don't tell me you're that guy in the crowd who says, "Ohhhh, I've seen waaaay better!" You know the part near the end of Estimated when Bobby is screaming at the top of his lungs? That's Bob Weir's imitation of THAT GUY. Don't be THAT GUY!

This was my first show, unfortunately I came on the scene a bit late! So it's ok by me if it isn't one of their best. We were in the west stands, pretty high up, and I remember that huge orange full moon coming up over the east stands. They showed it on the monitors, and the band launched into Picasso Moon. Maybe they already had that one in the lineup, but but I like to think they played it as we saw it.

The normal jam in A out of WR is similar to, but not to be confused with, an instrumental version of DS, which is what we have here: Jerry is playing the exact notes of the DS verse melody on guitar, and Phil is following him with the accompanying bass notes.

No Dark Star or jam here. It is just the usual A jam out of Wharf Rat. Dark Star is based around the a chord so it sounds similar, but I don't believe they are ever playing Dark Star at any point.

There is a bunch of talking close to the microphone unfortunately, so parts are a little hard to listen to.
The highlight of this day for me was Santana's opening set and his beautiful instrumental of Little Wing.
For the GD the Wharf Rat with a Dark Star tease in the jam was pretty interesting. In general the music was comparatively lackluster to most GD shows.
